A new service to reduce the number of agricultural field trials

Site Similarity Certification (SSC) is meant to prove the comparability of cropping sites by the use of satellite imagery.

 
SSC enables pesticide producers to

• reduce the number of field trials for the registration of pesticides considerably, for it now becomes possible to transfer field trial results to similar regions.

SSC enables seed producers to

• optimise planning and analysis of regular field trials for crop varieties development or
• effectively support the marketing activities for new varieties
