The SSC was elaborated for an indication consisting of the crop type rape seed (Brassica napus), a fictitious pest and a fictitious pesticide.
The ImageSSC contains the analysis of satellite images and the developing of the vegetation index.
We would be pleased to send you a complete example of SSC (StandardSSC) via email. Do not hesitate to fill in our contact form with name and email and you will soon receive the PDF document as a whole.
Satellite images of regions compared
The satellite images visualize the long-term average of the vegetation index NDVI (Normalized Difference Vegetation Index) in the regions Oldenburg and Torunsko-Wloclawski in weeks 17 to 23 (April to June).
The satellite images show the biomass and vitality of the vegetation and agricultural crops to be high or low. Week by week the images give an overview on the growing intensity of crops depending on the local growth conditions. The following figure shows images of weeks 19 and 20.

The satellite images prove that the growth intensity of crops in terms of biomass and vitality are similar in both regions.
Vegetation index of arable land
The following figure shows the averaged NDVI values of arable land per calendar week for the sites Oldenburg and Torunsko-Wloclawski derived from 12 years´ measurements (1995-2006) throughout the growth period from April to July.
Obviously the NDVI values in both regions are almost identical. Especially in the important time period of crop development and need for plant protection treatments in May (weeks 18 - 21) and June (weeks 22 – 25) NDVI values are at the same level. The shape of the NDVI curves in both regions is similar as well. This shows the intensity of crop growth to be similar in both regions and biomass and vitality of crops to almost develop to the same level at the same time.
